Data-Sharing in Canadian
Medical Education Research
Greetings from the MedEd Data Champions!
Since our December 2022 newsletter, we have spent time reviewing our work over the past year as we prepared our funding report to the Digital Research Alliance of Canada. Some of you participated in focus groups and provided us with feedback on how the implementation of the Consensus Statement has been proceeding within your scope of work.
We heard from some how the Consensus Statement has positively impacted their work. We also heard about the barriers which are slowing the implementation of the recommendations in the Consensus Statement. Despite these barriers, we perceive that this work is important to the medical education research community and we will continue to work with our stakeholders in 2023 to move towards the uptake of the Consensus Statement principles and recommendations.
As always, please reach out to us if you have any questions or would like us to present our work at your next event!
